Community Mural Workshops
 

Community mural workshops are collaborative, process-driven experiences that invite participants to tell their stories through public art. Together, we move from dialogue and visioning to design and collective painting, creating murals that reflect community identity, values, and aspirations.

These workshops support:

  • Youth and community voice

  • Collaboration and relationship-building

  • Social-emotional learning and collective care

  • Place-based learning and cultural affirmation

Murals can be adapted for schools, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and intergenerational groups, with options ranging from short-term intensives to long-term projects.

Visual Storytelling Workshops
 

Visual storytelling workshops use drawing, painting, collage, journaling, and mixed media to help participants explore and share personal and collective narratives. These workshops are especially powerful for students and adults who may struggle to express themselves through traditional academic formats.

Participants learn to:

  • Translate lived experiences into visual narratives

  • Build confidence in creative expression

  • Reflect critically on identity, memory, and community

  • Use art as a tool for communication and meaning-making

Workshops can be customized for classrooms, community programs, healing spaces, and professional learning environments.

Tutoring & Academic Coaching
 

Holistic tutoring and academic coaching center the whole person—not just grades or test scores. I work with students to build academic skills while also addressing confidence, motivation, organization, and self-advocacy.

Support may include:

  • Academic skill-building and study strategies

  • Executive functioning and organization

  • Goal-setting and reflective practices

  • Creative and culturally responsive learning approaches

This service is especially supportive for students who feel disconnected from school, need additional encouragement, or benefit from alternative ways of learning and demonstrating understanding.

Arts Integration Trainings/PDs


Arts integration trainings support educators in using creative practices to deepen learning across content areas. These professional development sessions are hands-on, reflective, and grounded in culturally responsive and student-centered pedagogy.

Trainings focus on:

  • Integrating visual arts into core subjects

  • Supporting engagement and critical thinking

  • Honoring student voice and cultural knowledge

  • Designing inclusive, creative learning environments

Sessions can be offered as single workshops or multi-session PDs and are adaptable for teachers, teaching artists, and school staff.
